Deadly butt enhancement injection provider gets 10 years in prison

March 28 (UPI) -- A woman who used injections of tire sealant as buttocks enhancement, a procedure in which one customer died, was sentenced to 10 years in prison.

Oneal Ron Morris, 36, pleaded no contest in February to manslaughter and practicing medicine without a license. She was sentenced Monday in a Broward County, Fla., court to 10 years imprisonment and five years' probation. Morris, who is transgender, will serve her term in a men's prison.

The sentencing came after one customer, Shartaka Nuby, received up to 10 butt injections between 2007 and 2010, and died of related complications in 2012. Investigators learned that Morris injected her customers, who could not afford standard cosmetic surgery, with fluids including silicone, mineral oil, Fix-a-Flat tire sealant, cement and Super Glue.

In court, Morris said she was victimized by media attention and chose a plea deal of no contest to avoid a trial.

"I've been found guilty by the media and outside sources, based on lies," she said.

Her lawyer, William Lanphear, said Morris' customers knew they were not dealing with a legitimate doctor in seeking the treatments, adding, "All parties share the responsibilities and the blame for their own actions and the role they played. There was an assumption of risk obligation from the victims."

Morris previously served a jail sentence for practicing medicine without a license.

Oneal Ron Harris, at a Broward County, Fla., hearing on Monday in which she was sentenced to 10 years for manslaughter and practicing medicine without a license, said she was victimized by the media. Investigators said her butt enhancement injections included common household fluids. One of her customers died from complications from the injections. Screenshot from WPLG-TV, Miami

Woman who provided deadly butt-enhancement injections gets 10 years in prison

Oneal Ron Morris, who pleaded no contest to manslaughter and practicing medicine without a license last month in connection with a deadly butt- enhancement, was sentenced Monday to 10 years in prison followed by five years of probation.

Morris, 36, who is known by her patients as “Duchess,” had been accused of injecting a toxic mixture of substances into the buttocks of women who were seeking curvier figures but could not afford traditional cosmetic surgery.

Women, and men who live as women but have not undergone sex-change operations, visited Morris at various locations, where Morris would inject them with silicone, mineral oil, Fix-a-Flat tire sealant, cement and Super Glue, according to investigators.

Shatarka Nuby, a Tamarac woman who allegedly paid Morris $2,000 for as many as 10 injections between 2007 and 2010, died from related complications in 2012.

“There’s no closure. Putting (Morris) in jail won’t bring her back,” said Juanita Nuby, Shatarka’s aunt, in a statement she made to Broward Circuit Judge Michael Ian Rothschild that was broadcast by WFOR-CBS4. “This is a court of man, all you can do is put her away and teach her a lesson.”

Defense lawyer William Lanphear said he disagreed with the sentence because Morris’ patients knew they were not dealing with a real doctor.

“All parties share the responsibilities and the blame for their own actions and the role they played,” he said. “There was an assumption of risk obligation from the victims.”

Fake doc gets prison for deadly butt injections

A woman dubbed the “Toxic Tush” doctor will spend a decade behind bars for using Super Glue and Fix-a-Flat tire sealant to enlarge women’s behinds and causing one patient to die.

Oneal Ron Morris, 36, who is transgender, was sentenced to 10 years Monday in Florida’s Broward County court after pleading guilty to manslaughter and injecting several women with the toxic mixture, according to CBS Miami.

Shatarka Nuby, 31, died after receiving as many as 10 injections from Morris between 2007 and 2010. She paid Morris as much as $2,000 for the deadly procedures, the Sun-Sentinel reported.

“There’s no closure. Putting [Morris] in jail won’t bring her back,” said Nuby’s aunt Juanita in court.

Morris, who is not a licensed doctor, combined silicone, mineral oil, Fix-a-Flat tire sealant, cement and Super Glue to give women shapelier backsides.

She previously served a year in prison on related charges.

Several of her patients were in court for her latest sentencing, saying they became sick after receiving the bogus injections, which they believed were actually medical-grade silicone.

“You gave us your word that the products you was using was A-1 products. And come to find out they were not,” said victim Kisha Jones. “Maybe in the beginning, but greed really took over, because you was pocketing the money from every victim.”
