Chelsea Handler took a swipe at Melania Trump saying she wouldn't interview the First Lady because "she can barely speak English."
Perhaps the comedian, who does not hold a college degree, should do her research first. The First Lady speaks at least five languages, including English, French, Italian, German, and Slovene.
As far as we can tell, Handler speaks but one.
This isn't the first time the "Chelsea" host has gone after Melania Trump's accent. She shared several tweets over the course of the presidential campaign making fun of the First Lady.
Handler told Variety she wouldn't interview President Donald Trump for her Netflix show either even if he personally requested to be a guest.
"I don’t respect either one of those people," she said.
Handler then launched into a speech about "divisiveness" not being "the answer" and the need to "reach across party lines." An interesting appeal considering Handler's comments about the President and First Lady.
"Divisiveness is not the answer," Handler explained. "And I think to get that message, we have to reach across party lines, forget your party. I’m registering as an Independent. I’m not gonna be a Democrat anymore because it’s too divisive. This isn’t working, this two-party system."
When asked what she would tell the President if she saw him at Sundance.
"F--k off. I mean, gross."
A rep for Handler did not return Fox News' request for comment.

CHELSEA HANDLER SHAMES, BULLIES MELANIA TRUMP
Chelsea Handler insulted Melania Trump ... and it's backfiring.
Chelsea says she wouldn't interview the First Lady because "she can barely speak English."
Handler failed to mention Melania speaks 5 languages ... French, Italian, German, Slovene and, of course, English.
Chelsea, speaking to Variety, then unleashed on Melania, saying she wouldn't book the First Lady or President Donald Trump for her Netflix show because "I don't respect either one of those people."
It's unclear what grudge she has against Melania, other than proximity.
Handler's comments are essentially shaming immigrants who try to adapt to American culture, and when people bully them by making fun of their level of skill in mastering the English language it inhibits them from speaking altogether.
Choose your battles wisely.
Chelsea Handler is accused of immigrant-shaming Melania for saying the First Lady - who is fluent in five languages - 'can barely speak English'
Chelsea Handler has been accused of immigrant-shaming Melania Trump after saying that she can barely speak English, despite the fact the First Lady is actually fluent in five languages.
The comedian said that she wouldn't interview the First Lady because 'she can barely speak English', despite the fact that the 46-year-old Slovenian native can speak French, Italian, German, Slovene and English.
Handler made the comments in a video to Variety after leading the Women's March at the Sundance Film Festival on Saturday.
The 41-year-old actress also said she wouldn't book the former model or President Donald Trump on her Netflix show because she doesn't 'respect either one' of them.
She then launched into a speech about how 'divisiveness' is not 'the answer'.
'Divisiveness is not the answer,' Handler explained. 'And I think to get that message, we have to reach across party lines, forget your party.
'I'm registering as an Independent. I'm not gonna be a Democrat anymore because it's too divisive. This isn't working, this two-party system.'
When asked if she saw the president at Sundance, what would she say, Handler replied, 'F*** off. I mean, gross.'
This isn't the first time Handler has criticized the president or his wife of 12 years.
Since at least July 2016, Handler has written several messages over the course of the election campaign about Melania on Twitter.
On July 19, 2016, Handler tweeted: 'I wonder if @MELANIATRUMP is enjoying her wheaties (sic) this morning or if she's too busy pitching Donald state of the union speech ideas.'
A Twitter user responded to Handler's initial tweet saying that her joke wasn't funny and how she 'will bring beauty and grace back to The White House'.
Handler responded back and wrote: '@karen_snowdy @MELANIATRUMP just as soon as she learns how to speak English'.
In another tweet from October 28, Handler wrote: 'Trump said Melania will give two or three more speeches… Hopefully an interpreter will be present.'
On November 4, she took to Twitter again and wrote: 'Tim Kaine delivered a speech entirely in Spanish. Still easier to understand than Melania.p (sic)'.
